My Project Bag

A new project....Janet and I are taking the class in February from Judy Niemeyer and when I saw this Amy Butler pattern I thought...WOW!  The perfect bag to carry all of that cut fabric and hopefully the finished project in!  So, I switched into high gear and got to work.  I love the fabric...I love the way the bag has gone together and I love the way it looks.  So, hopefully it will carry all my goodies and do exactly what I planned for it to do.

This is the exterior of the bag.  On either end are some really nice pockets for water bottles or other such items.
This is the inside of the bag....I love the mixture of fabrics.  There are 3 pockets on each side.  My only concern is that the pockets are fairly deep.  They will be great for patterns, cutting instruments and the such.

The finished product should be posted today!

Everything but Jeb Bush!

I will have to post the picture that I used for this design.  It was a stained glass pattern named 'Everything Florida except Jeb Bush'.  Jeb Bush was the Governor at the time so that dates the creation of this quilt.  I am trying to do some 3 dimensional work on it by creating the turtle, alligator, egret and such as stand alone appliqué items and then embroidering them on.  We shall see....
I guess this one should be moved to the top of the pile since Christmas is less than 2 months away!  Part of the hesitation is that I really do not have a place to hang it!  But, she is beautiful and I should make a place.  Actually, I should be hanging these holiday quilts in Mike's office since it is front and center and he already has a quilt there.  But, I must finish it first!

Season of Trees

I love this quilt!  I love crazy quilting...and I actually have this kit.  I have completed the first block and hope to someday complete all the rest.  I have the second block pieced and hopefully I can take it on our next car trip and do a lot of the embellishing.  The quilt is huge and will take a very long time to complete...considering how many other projects you will see here!

This is my first block...almost completed.  But, is a crazy quilt ever completed?  There is always one more button, just a little more embellishment and so on and so on....
